Wednesday, November 30th is the birthday of beloved children's author author Lucy Maud Montgomery.Montgomery is best known for her enchanting series detailing the adventures of Anne Shirley, the free-spirited red-head who is sent from her orphanage to live in Green Gables with siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert. The books follow her from her days as a mischievous youth through adulthood as she tries to raise six children of her own. The titles have been read and re-read by readers young and old alike all around the world.
