Thursday, November 10, is the birthday of author Neil Gaiman.
Neil Gaiman has found success in many forms of writing including, journalism, graphic novels, juvenile fiction, youth fiction, adult novels, and even screenwriting! As a child and teenager he was fond of comic books, and science fiction and decided that as an adult he wanted to breathe new life into those genres. His work has certainly done just that, he has won the Hugo, Nebula, and Bram Stoker awards as well as the 2009 Newbury Medal, and the 2010 Carnegie Medal in Literature. Several of his titles have been turned in to blockbuster films and he has begun writing films of his own.
This Thursday celebrate with us by checking out one of his many projects, there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy!
- Picture Book: The Blueberry Girl
- Juvenile Fiction: The Graveyard Book
- Youth Fiction: Coraline
- Adult Fiction: Stardust
- Graphic Novels: The Sandman
